Gert-Jan was appointed Chief Financial Officer at bol in August 2016. In his role as CFO, he is responsible for the entire financial operations including business control, accounting, indirect taxes and Risk & Compliance, as well as Legal and Procurement (“not-for-resale”).

Before his time at bol, Gert-Jan worked mainly at Procter & Gamble, where he held several senior management positions and was responsible for one of the core divisions within Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. Gert-Jan spent twelve years abroad with his wife and two children and returned to the Netherlands from Switzerland. Earlier in his career, Gert-Jan interrupted his time at Procter & Gamble for 2 years and gained experience at the Boston Consulting Group.

Gert-Jan holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Economics from Maastricht University.
